Hope is Born – Christmas 2016
Hope is born in darkest night,
And no one else can give such light.
A tiny, helpless, homeless child,
Will stop the darkness running wild.
God’s plan is wrapped up with this birth
To release His kingdom on the earth.
Jesus, the hope of man’s despair,
Will plant His kingdom everywhere.
An obscure birth, a shameful death,
But Jesus heals with just a breath.
This precious life, so frail, so small
Rebuilds the ruins of mankind’s fall.
God has come to dwell with man,
To grow the fruit of hope again.
He brings hope, a wise mans’ rock
That can take the strain of every shock.
Jesus, born in a humble place
To show the world the God of grace.
