Wandering Sheep
God reaches out to wandering sheep.
He never rests; His love won’t sleep.
When fearsome wolves attack the fold
He never wearies, does not grow old.
Constant love in constant change,
While the hordes of darkness rearrange.
God is there, as sure as rock,
Even though the scoffers mock.
The winds of time rage as a gale,
But our sovereign Lord will never fail.
He slays the lions, slays the bears,
When all seems hopeless, He still cares.
We drift away from His true ways,
But we never escape His loving gaze.
Through His dear Son He reaches out,
With a still small voice, no angry shout.
He cares for every wandering sheep.
In His great care, He will always keep.
