The Word
Words cannot fully fathom God,
Unless you go where Jesus trod.
His ways, so different from the world
Opened up in His good Word.
God is greater than our noblest thought,
Than all great ideas that have been taught
Vaster than the realms of space,
Yet cares for us with tender grace.
In Jesus Christ we find His words,
Mightier than any two-edged sword.
His way is peace, when all seems war,
We can only gaze with silent awe.
Our language can only say so much,
We need His gentle gracious touch.
